Tight 5 Sevens Comes to Santa Rosa on August 1, 2026
Tight 5 Sevens is coming to Santa Rosa on Saturday, August 1, 2026, for a full day of rugby at For Pete’s Sake Rugby Field. Hosted by Santa Rosa Youth Rugby Club, this tournament brings together rugby, community, food, fundraising, and one of the most unique scoring formats in the game.
This is not a standard rugby tournament. Tight 5 Sevens uses an age and weight handicapped scoring format designed to make the competition more balanced, more creative, and a lot more fun. The idea is simple: rugby should have room for different bodies, different ages, different styles, and different kinds of athletes. The result is a tournament where every team has to think, adapt, and play with personality.
The event runs from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and will feature rugby throughout the day, community support, food from Bula Pies, and a passionate local rugby atmosphere. The tournament is sponsored by Bula Pies and Santa Rosa Youth Rugby Club, with a community focus on ALS awareness and youth rugby support.
