What is Tight 5 Sevens?
Tight 5 Sevens is an age- and weight-handicapped rugby sevens tournament where smart team selection matters.
A player who is 31 years old and weighs 220 pounds receives zero handicap points. Older and heavier players add points, while younger and lighter players subtract points.
How do you win?
Each team selects a Starting VII and tries to build the highest possible handicap score at weigh-in.The handicap shapes the competition for some of rugby’s most unique hardware. Individual players with the highest point values also become MVP contenders.
